RailWorks Track Services
Description
RailWorks served as the general contractor to design and construct a new spur and a grain unloading pit.
Scope
RailWorks rehabilitated nearly 2300 feet of track, constructed an 1,800-foot track extension and installed two heavy industrial turnouts.
RailWorks completed the work on time and to required specifications, even with a tight schedule and extensive coordination with the client’s ongoing operations and the servicing railroads.
Unique features
“It is rare for projects with so many opportunities for failure to go so seamlessly, and we believe this is a direct result of the character demonstrated by the RailWorks staff. The personal attention afforded has enabled us to spend our time working on other areas of the projects and enabled us to “leave the tracks to you.” This has made us more competitive, and ultimately more successful than others looking for similar opportunities.
Through each project RailWorks has met project deadlines without fail, while remaining within our budget plans, despite many obstacles along the way. Additionally, RailWorks greatly aided us by assisting in preliminary designs that have held up throughout the projects. In each case the completed work has met with acceptance by the rail serving the additions to our facility.
We are pleased to have been associated with RailWorks and the RailWorks team, and we look forward to doing so again in the future with additional expansions as we create a new and better infrastructure together.”
